2001 Suburban (5.3L) -- Leaking oil, coolant... water mixing with oil??
Haha... I was way off.
The "Bars Leaks 1186 Liquid Aluminum Stop Leak" actually did work for the leaking coolant, which presumably was leaking into the block. But now the coolant has remained steady for some time.
Their engine oil stop leak *and* rear main seal stop leak didn't do ANYTHING for the leak, however. I actually developed a bad leak in my volvo about 2 weeks ago and went straight to the rear main seal stop leak & 10w-40... it also did not stop the leak.
But my friends had to break down and take their "Bourbon" to a friend of a friend who said he'd look at it free. He had good and bad news. Good news was that it was just the oil pressure switch. Bad news is that he charged just over $160 to replace it and do an oil change. But no leaks is definitely great.... so more power to him.
Maybe that's what's wrong with my Volvo?? Hmm...
