mixing oil and water

Default mixing oil and water

i have 96 tahoe with vortec heads just rebuilt 2000 miles just started mixing.runs great no missing or codes .heads were done in florida they were reworked to 062 cast specs. i noticed they were cracked and had been pluged to repair.shoud i be looking at head or intake leak? getting mixed answers. please help

yes there is water in motor but no oil in radiator

Sounds like they didn't do a good repair on your cracked heads. If it's leaked coolant into the oil for 2K mi, then probably have to do another rebuild as the bearings are going to let go.

tahoe started mixing in the last 2 miles.I got up checked oil drove 2 miles to parts house for a light bulb seen a spot under truck (front seal leak due to bad timing cover)that is when i checked oil again and seen the mix.Ihave not started since then.Timing cover molded wrong front seal not centered so it leaks small amount.
