2001 Suburban Starting issue
I have a 2001 suburban.. I’m having intermittent problems with it starting.
Sometimes it has a fast repetitive series of clicks when holding the key in the start position and won’t start. Sometimes it does start just fine. The battery was tested and it’s supposedly ok, the alternator is ok, and the bolts to the battery cable at the battery have been replaced. Any ideas?ffice

generally that clicking is the starter solenoid. either it needs to be looked at, the cables to it checked, or it's bad. the solenoid is attached to the starter. it's the part that the battery cable, as well as a few other smaller wires, attach to. check those wires, and make sure starter bolts are tight.
Could the solenoid cause a power loss? After driving it yesterday, when I turned the car off, for a couple of seconds I noticed a power loss in the interior (dimmer lights, radio, etc.) It's like something is shorting out when I turned the engine off. Thanks for the help.
