Car runs fine all the time. Jumped in one morning and its dead. Jumped
and ran fine. Next day dead again. Noticed the ignition chime going off w/o
the key in the ignition( leave the door open with the keys in the ignition)
Chime only shuts off after the brake pedal is pressed(without keys) or when the key is
moved forward to start vehicle.. Replaced Brake Senor Light still no
good(senor on the brake pedal).
Any help? Greased all the door latches, pushed and release emergency
brake still no good.
Help!

 

Just work spring in the coil that tellls the key its in or out.

 

I have 06 hhr and it is doing the exact think kills battery so I unhooked battery till I find out what the problem is did u ever find out why the chime was going off I cant figure it out just started chiming one day when I took key out ignition and opened driver door just trying to figure out what's the problem is so I can get it fixed
