2002 Suburban won't start. Help??
A couple weeks ago the change oil light came on. I was about 2500 miles from the last oil change. Checked the oil, level was good. Drove for another week with no issues. It sat for 2 days then when wouldn't start when I tried to drive it. It sounded like it was trying to start, but wouldn't catch. Lights, windows, stereo all still working so not the battery. Checked the oil and it was almost gone. (Never saw signs of a leak but driveway is gravel and often wet from rain.) Put oil in, still won't start.
We replaced the battery in July 2011. This past December we began having issues with the battery dying if it sat for more than a couple days. Replaced the battery. STILL had issues with that if it wasn't driven for more than a couple days but never a problem if it was driven everyday.
We had the alternator checked, was good. A friend has a diagnostic tool and it showed a couple "unknowns" but the only thing it could tell was an issue was the O2 sensor... but was told by friend that that shouldn't cause it to not start.
Any ideas what it might be?
