2003 Chevy Tahoe 4 wheel drive help
Admittedly, the transfer should have been done while on the floor.
But you're definitely right about accelerating while on the Lift, that could cause a real problem !

Sounds like he was cutting donuts in the snow.
Maybe he wound the muffler bearings too tite and just needs to go in the opposite direction to unwind them.

Seriously, I agree w/ those that said it's a bad idea to do it in 4WD Auto. His particular truck may not have a 4 High mode tho. In which case, no snow donuts.
It does do a good job of clearing the 6"-8" of snow out of a cul-de-sac. Don't ask me how I know.

I am sure that someone on here that can provide you with a good deal on a 2013 Tahoe or Suburban, if you are ready to trade it in. If you do decide to purchase a new truck, get one with the two speed transfer case and use 4H when playing in the snow
The new 2014 Pickups will be arriving on dealer lots in early April. We will have to wait a while for the new Suburban / Tahoes, but I am sure that you should be able to find something that works for you.
Good luck.
