2003 Suburban : Shifter, Discharging, Steering Column
At least a year ago I started having a problem with my shifter not going up into the right place and I have had to make sure I get it in the notch so the dash lights won't be on. Not knowing I figured it was just a loose screw or some kind of pin inside the rubber cover where the shifter meets the steering column.
I had to have it towed yesterday to an Exhaust Pro that I use for everything, I figured it was the battery or alternator again having replaced them both about a year ago.
I generally trust them on everything but they said I would need a steering column which they said would run about 5 bills. Well that is just great.
Anybody know anything about this regarding other fixes? Are there any fixes or was he correct? Thanks in advance.
