2003 Suburban that will not start on first try. Always starts on the second. 175,000 miles. In last 6 months have replaced throttle body, mass flow, air filter, spark plugs and wires due to an idle problem. That was resolved and everything fine until about 2 weeks ago. CEL off.

Any ideas? Runs a little rough in cold weather once started.

Have you check the fuel pressure both running and off to see how fast it bleeds down?
injectors serviced?

 

Have not done that....that may be above my skill level...might be time for the shop!!

It's not real tough. Get a fuel pressure gauge and look for the Schraeder fitting near the fuel rail or throttle body (not sure what yours has). Harbor Freight has them.

 

Looked it up in the Alldata book and you are right, does not look hard. I will stop Monday and pick one up and test it.
