I am having an issue with my 2003 Monte not starting. Only 71,000 miles on it. New fuel pump, new crank shaft position sensor, new plugs, new fuel pressure regulator, new O2 sensors, new fuel pump relay.

I'll drive the car for anywhere from 10 miles and up, enough to make the engine hot. Stop at a store, run in, and when I come out (say it's been anywhere from 5 - 10 mins) car will not start. Starter fires, but engine will not turn over. I do not hear the fuel pump prime when the key is in 'on' position. After about 5 - 10 mins of this, it will eventually start.

Replaced all the above items after I had a stalling while driving issue. After the pump was replaced, it ran fine for a month or so and then this starting issue arose.

Any ideas?

And I do NOT get any check engine lights.

 

Sorry to get your hopes up by replying. No, I have no ideas.

I read your thread because we have had a geart shift cable issue that would prevent us from starting the car. The cable that tells the engine "Hey, I'm in park, you can start now!" was sporked. $1K to replace.. and the cable is still iffy.

Only had like 45K on '03 LS at the time... which was like 18 months ago. :|

I would start looking at the pass lock system.
you say the starter fires. (do you mean cranks the engine over or just 1 click?) if it cranks the engine but it sounds like the engine is not firing
gm pass lock system does disable the fuel pump and fuel injestors.
