Tahoe & SuburbanThe power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Question is: Is my grommet pushed in from audio shop (running wires) or is it supposed to sit flush on the outside lip? I'm pretty sure I'm getting rain water through here. Pictures of your firewall would be great 👍Thanks guys.

Does it have a groove on the outer edge? If so, it should set with the groove in the center of the firewall, in other words you should have grommet sticking out past the fire wall on both sides.

Thanks for the quick reply, it's definitely loose and I can slip my fingers inside the firewall from the edge of the grommet, and it doesn't have a tight fit on the firewall at all. I'm pretty sure the shop pushed it in to slip wires through. I'm just having a hard time trying to fix it. So to clarify, the metal lip is not supposed to be exposed? Thanks again.

I'm saying if the grommet edge is cupped, it should slip over both sides of the opening, you should have rubber on both sides of the metal.
