Default 2003 Tahoe Speaker Whining problems

I have a 2003 Tahoe with Premium Bose speakers, i installed an Alpine 9815 deck and a DCGM09 door chime module, i am getting a very annoying engine noise whining and feedback from my speakers. Origonally i didnt have the DCGM09 installed and i was getting minor engine noise and feedback, but after i installed the DCGM09 it dramatically worsened. ANy ideas???

Grounded improperly or unshielded wire would be my guess.

I agree. Since it's an aftermarket radio my guess would be an insufficient ground.

Are you getting the whining with regular radio play or is it an ipod connection?

Your Scosche DCGM09 is connected to your stereo via the RCA jacks, I would install a Ground Loop Isolator at this connection next.

Do i need 1 or two ground loop isolators?

could be the speaker wires are not connected properly, ie rear/front left- mixed up, I had a similar issue.

May want to look at installing an inline noise filter in addtion to checking the grounding.
Also check the battery ground as well as the connection from the alternator to the battery for good solid connections...
