Last weekend after many stops & starts, my Tahoe just turned over, but would not start. Added gas, just in case, no go. Tried it two days later, still no start. Towed it to shop, it started. No codes, no problem. Still at shop, can't drive what you can't trust. Any Ideas?

 

Sound like the fuel pump is failing.

 

We could hear the fuel pump when we tried to start it.

 

Even if you can hear it that does not mean it is pumping the correct pressure or volume.

 

Is there anyway to verify that? I'll check it out. Thanks.

 

It could be verified with a fuel pressure gauge but only while the problem is happening. It is difficult to diagnosis intermittent problems sometimes you have to wait for it to happen more often or permanently or take a EDUCACTED guess.
