Question 2004 Suburban Odd Curb View Assist Malfunction

I just replaced the driver door window regulator and the driver side master window switch assembly on my '04 Suburban (315K miles and going strong!) - the former because the motor was very, very tired, and the latter because the front passenger window switch in the module had failed and I could no longer open/close the passenger window while driving. Replacement went fine, and everything seemed to work great - all of the window controls, mirror adjustments, locking, etc. works perfectly. EXCEPT - the driver side mirror no longer performs the curb view assist function! Both mirrors can be adjusted properly with the controls, both mirrors still recall their positions correctly if I change from driver 1 to driver 2, and the passenger mirror still does curb assist properly, but no luck on the driver mirror. I've double-checked the settings, and also cleared/reset it (i.e. set it to no assist, stored the settings for driver 1, then set it to assist on both and re-stored the settings for driver 1), but no dice. I just double-checked the wiring at the switch module, no signs of fraying/looseness there, and I double-checked all the connectors are correct and snug.

It's a very specific, peculiar malfunction - any ideas on how to remediate? My Tech2 emulator is down at the moment so I can't poke around for errors any of the modules might be reporting; and speaking of modules, where are those settings (curb assist, etc.) stored? I'm assuming in the BCM or in the small driver/seat module (the one with the driver 1+2 memory switches, etc.) - I'm assuming not the window switch module itself since everything seems to have stayed intact when I replaced it.

Many thanks in advance for any advice or tips!

Modern electronics. Try disconnecting the battery for a hour or two and see what happens.
I changed the battery in my Tahoe and could not reinitiate the power running boards. Did the shipping unlock a dozen times, no issues in my high-end scan tool so I gave up and took it into my dealer.
It took them multiple times doing the reinitiate to get them working again and were stumped also. They did not charge me, I've bought from them and have used them for service on tires and crap jobs.

Thanks for the reply @repairman54 - I'll give that a try (need to change the battery anyway). I did notice one other oddity the other day - I don't generally use my heated seat as the pad in the drivers seat failed long ago and I haven't gotten around to changing it yet; the other day my wife was riding with me, hit the heat on the passenger seat and MY heated seat lights came on as well (but not the actual heat). I'm suspecting that the window control module I installed is the wrong version, and of course I tossed the old one after the repair "because everything seems to work" (duh) without checking the actual part number on it. Looks like I need to do some part number digging and comparing.

Darn it - my own stupid fault, wrong switch module. Didn't read the option codes properly and got the one that works, kinda, but doesn't actually support the mirror functionality right. New module on the way for the weekend, will see if that resolves the issue!

Replacement switch module (supposedly the right one per the RPO codes) arrived much earlier than expected, so I installed today. Found out, to my surprise, that I have folding power mirrors - my guess is that the function has always been there, but I'd never actually tried it; this time I hit the mirror control while it was "locked" (i.e. neither mirror selected) and it folded the mirrors right in. 316K+ miles and I learn a new thing about the car. :-)

BUT - the driver-side curb assist still doesn't work, and the heated seat cross-lighting still happens. Pretty sure I have the right window switch module now, so it's time to dig a little deeper and see what's going on - hopefully I can get my TechII emulator running again and see if the Suburban has anything to tell me.

Got the TechII emulator (Tech2Win with a VXDIAG USB interface) on it and, honestly, the results are inconclusive. I can't actually access the DDM - any functions fail almost immediately with "Are you connected to the vehicle?" (paraphrased, didn't note the actual error). Other modules access fine, and a lot of them are showing either a current or past U1000 error; makes me wonder if the driver module is having communication problems (but all it's functions work except for the curb assist and, occasionally, unlock at exit) or if just not programmed right. I did pull the battery (needed to replace it anyway) but that didn't correct the issue. Next step, I think, is to inspect the wiring harness on that door and see if it appears frayed/pinched anywhere. And get my hands on an ACTUAL TechII if I can ... the emulator has always been a bit flaky, so I'm not convinced it's giving me accurate results (on the best of days it'll run a while and then crash!)
