2004 tahoe
i've been having a noise in the front end of my tahoe. i think it's in the front wheels, it's a crunching noise like something is broken. when i turn it seems to be worse. i've now also noticed that the brakes aren't the same, have to pump them some what to get them the way they use to be. could this be a wheel bearing problem, or a break problem? help! please help i'm just a girl with a wrench waiting for some direction.

The crunching noise you mentioned, is it a continuous noise? Or does it happen only when some other action is taken such as stepping on the brakes or turning? Also does it seem like it comes from one side or the other?
There are some things you can check right off the bat. Jack up the truck and support it with stands, then with the tire on, grab the tire and see if you can "wiggle" it. If you feel "slop" like it's "loose". That would point to a suspension problem or wheel bearing.
