2004 Tahoe Ride Control Pump Good But Won' Turn On Automatically
About a month ago mechanic changed original rear shocks which both had leaks. After repair, the air ride pump returned to normal working order and it only came on for about 8 to 10 seconds when starting the vehicle as opposed to all the time. That is the good news.
However about a week ago I noticed the pump only stayed on for about 4-5 seconds and now it doesn't come on at all. The Service Air Ride System warning came on 2 days ago.
Mechanic who does great work, verified that he can manually make the pump work so we know that's okay. He also verify that the the fuses are good. Then he changed the relay but still the automatic triggering of the pump does not work.
Required use of vehicle tomorrow so either this week or next, will be taking it back so that they can have a specialist look at the related computer board.
Wondering if anyone ever experience this same issue and what the resolution was?
