Default 2005 tahoe -Clicking noise in all gears

My 2005 tahoe Z71 has a clicking noise that sounds like its coming from transmission or maybe front differential. It started when i used my 4wd over the weekend and now i geta clicking noise in all gears even park. My transmisssion seems fine......no issues shifting, etc. The fact that the clicking noise is constant in the "park" gear is leading me to think it might be a problem in my front differential. This vechicle is driven by my wife and lately she has been telling me of a bad vibration at about 75mph. I had 4 new tires put on a month ago and all were balanced. I took it back last week due to the vibration and had them rebalanced and she still gets a bad vibration. Could these two problems be the cause of bad bearings in my front differential??? If not please give me some suggestions. I'm not a mechanic but know how to due the simple stuff like replace alternator, water pump etc. Thanks.

clicking makes me think transfer case... vibration could go either way. some of the guys up here might be able to point you in a better direction, but if it were me, I'd start looking at the t-case.

if it's clicking in park I'd get under it while it's running and try to isolate the location of the noise.

could also be U-joints... but you said it happens in park... are you sure its not lifter tap or the transmission pumping fluid? is the fluid level good?

Ok I checked tranny fluid level today when the engine was cold and noticed it was way overfilled above the hot level mark on the dipstick. I drained about two quarts to get it to the right level. I noticed also the tranny color was brownish with a slight tint of red. I was able to get under the car to listen to exactly where the noise is coming from and have nailed it to the front of the transmission. What could be causing the knocking/clicking noise I hear in all gears? Converter problem??? Thanks for the help.

You should always check the fluid level while hot, and running, you may have removed too much fluid How many miles are on that fluid change? if its been a while it may be time to have it changed, brown is a sign of over heating...

clicking at at the front of the tranny or rear of the engine could be the torque converter, maybe the engine oil pump, a loose rod cap just the sound of the lifters...

Check the flex plate attachment to the torque converter. Had one come loose once and it made a similar noise.

It turned out to be a cracked flexplate. I had it replaced and all is well. Could that problem have caused my tranny fluid to overheat? Im getting my fluid and filter changed this week. The wife let me know that recently when she trys to accelerate from idle that it seems like it doesn't go right into gear. Only happens when accelerating from a stop. I think the fluid condition is the culprit of this problem. It happens maybe a few times a day. All other shifting is fine. Thanks for your help with suggesting the flexplate to be my initial problem.

I'd get a BG tranny flush to get all of the burnt fluid out.
