Default 2006 and a half Tahoe?

I have a 2007 tahoe that was bought very early in 2006. It was one of the first 2007 on the road. It did not have factory nav when i bought it so i was going to have an after market nav system installed. When the installer tried to use the adapter for a 2007 tahoe it did not work with the wiring harness in my tahoe. They tried a 2006 adapter which didnt work either. Their explanation was that my tahoe was so early that the wiring harness was some kind of mixture of 2006 and 2007. This kind of made sense but I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem? Help!!!

That is a load of crap. The 07 is all new. In fact, the early Tahoes had wiring for extras even if it was not on the vehcle. Most early higher ends Tahoes had wiring for the rear camera and the video control under the passenger seat even if those items weren't being installed. Later, they only used the wiring necessary.

ZX can probably help if you can be more specific as to the trouble the dealer was having.
