Default 2007 chevy suburban throttle issue

I cleaned my throttle body with a rag with the other day after that my idle went up 2500 rpm, I then performed a relearn on it. I do have an idle that is 650 but as soon as I start to move the throttle/idle jumps up to 200-2500 RPM until I bring the truck to a stop.
I noticed if I drive no matter what the speed is the truck want to keep going, if I put it in neutral and come to a stop the idle comes down to 650/700.

Can anyone shed some light on whats going on

I think the relearn procedure didn't work. A couple years ago, I did a TB clean on my 07 Tahoe. It had the high idle after the clean, it took a while for the car to relearn the new idle, I think I had to drive it about 500-600 miles before the idle returned to normal. But my case was an extreme case I feel. I would suggest driving it as normal, just keep in mind when slowing down to a stop to give yourself more time to stop b/c of the high idle. good luck, keep us updated

I have the same issue. Suppose to start and idle for 3 minutes and then shut off for 1 min and then another 3 minutes of idle. Did that several times and still is erratic. Sometimes you will start and it jumps up to 3000 rpm...guessing since no tach on my chevy. Then the next time it will be normal. When it is racing I put it into drive with the brake on and it goes to below 1000 rpm. Put it back to Park and it stays slow. This is not all the time. The only thing I have not done is driving above 44mph. Registration has expired since I can not get the smog to pass. Been told that until the idle problem is fixed the other Ready items will not work.

Default Idle relearn

I experienced the same issue with my 5.3 engine after my DOD decided to take a vacation. Ended up doing a complete DOD delete which basically involved tear down to short block. And then lots of new parts.

Results of DOD complete failure.

took me 3 months of weekends to put it all back together in very cold un heated garage. What a miserable experience. Lucky for me I went to an automotive school in phoenix Arizona. So I am able to fix my own vehicles. The computer had to relearn the idle speed after the DOD delete kit was installed. I have to say the engine is a better version than before. So glad I don’t have to listen too the engine blubber anymore as it was very annoying. Plus the cam provides a bit more power than stock. Oh and I also purchased a tuner as it is needed to disable the DOD in the computer so it won’t throw trouble codes due to missing hardware. It’s also handy for other things as needed.
