Default 2007 Front Brake Replacement...Any issues?

At 58,000 highway miles, my front bakes are ready for replacment. I'm going with Wagner Thermo-Quiet pads, and Wagner rotors. I've had warpage problems with the Wagners on my other vehicles in the past, but I'm going to try them one more time. BTW, the front pads and rotors were $198.00 out the door.

Question:
Any specific problems with replacing them? Anything unique about removing the pad and/or rotor that I should look out for?

200 bucks? Nah, that's not bad. $74 per rotor, and $44 for ceramic pads; all Wagner stuff.

If it was a BMW, it would cost $75K instead of $50K. Pay me now or pay me later.

I changed out just the brakes last night in about 45 minutes. If you pay to have this done, you're throwing your money away. It's two bolts for the slider, pull the caliper away, pry the old pads out with a screwdriver, clean and lightly lubricate the pins, and clips and insert the new pads. The only delay I had was pushing the pistons back in. There are 2 per caliper and as you pushed one in, the other would push out. I'd recommend either 2 C clamps, or do what I did, which was to lay a wrench across both pistons, and pushed them in together with the only C clamp I had.

I was all ready to swap out the rotors too, but I couldn't budge the two bolts that mount the caliper assembly to the spindle. You have to remove that in order to get the rotor off. I tried PB Blaster, and wailed on it with a mallet, but they wouldn't budge. Plus, the bolts face inward, and it makes it even more difficult to get to. If they weren't so tight, I could have done the entire job in under an hour.

Degree of difficulty? If you can change your own oil, try the brakes. They're about the same.
