Default 2007 Headlight Model

I want to replace the stock low beam bulbs on my wifes new 2007 Tahoe with a HID look bulb, but I can't find the bulb type anywhere. I called the dealer and they were not even sure what the new type was...they thought that they were H13/9008.

Has anyone done this replacement and what bulb type did you use for low beams?

Thanks

damn i need to take pics, you get 2 bulbs and 2 box time modules , they're small. You can either double side tape the module to the inside of the fender or you cna screw it in. the bulbs, well you need to remove the air filter box, you just pull on the entire air box assembly and it pops out.. and there are black skirts behind the headlamp that you remove a clip from on each side and you can pull them back to get to the bulbs.. bit tight but it's the easiest.. and that about it.. the harness from back of the factory bulb plugs into the new module, and the module harness plugs into the new bulb.. simple as can be dude. and they rock.. i mean I LOVE HID's. i've been using them for 4 years now, my 2000 tahoe z71, 05 silverado 3500 dually, 05 avalanche z71, and now on my 07 tahoe.. LOVE them.. I'll try to take some pics of where the box is.

Thanks for the info...I just ordered the X5 9000K H7 for my wifes white 07 LTZ. It sounds like these will look great, and I am anxious to see what the difference is between look a like HID bulbs and a real HID Kit. I also ordered her the white bug deflector, white window vent shades and the chrome bow tie for the front end. We will post some pics of the Tahoe when I get it all installed. I can take some pics of the install process if anyone thinks that would be helpful...

Thanks Again!!

Please post some pics of the HID light install. I am looking into doing the same thing. Also, you may need to reaim your headlights because the stock reflectors werent made for the HID. That way you dont have a lot of glare for the oncoming traffic.

Dude, did you check the bulb first? I just did my buddys 07 LTZ and I swore that it was an H11 fitment. In fact, I just confirmed with him that we put in H11's....

Well...I pulled the bulb out of my Tahoe tonight and my bad for not doing it in the first place....My 2007 Tahoe LTZ uses a H11 bulb...I should have taken it out after reading the easy way to remove them. The worst part is the HID kit shipped today, so I will have to wait for it to arrive send it back and get the right one....
