do i have a G80 differential? i searched the net and looked at the option sheet that was posted on the window when i got it but it doesnt say anything bout a G80 standard on a 4.8 LS.

anyone who has an answer..... a yes or no is good enough for me. thanks!

 

It was optional on all but the LTZs. Check the label in your glove box which lists all of the equipment as delivered. Since it wasn't on your window sticker, I doubt that you have it.

 

I have the locking rear diff. It is listed in the glove box as G80 and it was on my sticker as "Locking Rear Differential $295.00"

Doubt you have it without mention on the sticker

Do they really put 3.23's in a tahoe? That must be a dog of a truck. Would it ever go into V4 mode, other than coasting?

 

i was lookin at the tahoes at the dealer i picked mine up at. and none of them listed "gu80"or locking rear on the sticker. ive only seen 3.23 on LS and 3.73(?) on lt and ltz. and i dont have the v4mode either.
