2007 - Noise while in 4WD

2007 - Noise while in 4WD
Hey all.
Have a 2007 Suburban that while in 4WD, makes a faint whirring sound. Doesn't do it in AWD just 4WD high and low but if the 4WD kicks on, you'll hear it again. I changed the TC fluid back about 10k ago and it was clean. Do these all make that noise? Does anyone know if the half shafts always turn or just when the 4WD is active? Thinking it may be the front hub assemblies.
