Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Here's the video for reference. I was one of the original people to get this issue resolved because of this video. the dealer could not replicate the problem (of course). There is a TSB for this and it entails an update for the CPU.

Thanks for the video...that's the sound. Does it make it when your driving and give it gas with the ac on? I am not very mechanical, your saying it needs to goto the dealer for a computer update? Will it hurt the truck if you drive it until you get it fixed? Without warranty, what's the cost. Thanks for your help.

It only does it at start up....not while driving. The TSB has been out for years now so if should be fixed at no cost. That sound can't be good for the long haul so I'd get it fixed as soon as you can. Mine hasn't done it in 3 years after they did the update.

bjohnson72,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. Did you confirm with your dealership if it is covered under the TSB AZSCTACO referred to?

Thank you,
Elizabeth, Chevrolet Customer Service

Elizabeth, my Tahoe is a 2003.....would it be covered (free) if not, is it pricey? What exactly is the TSB so I know what I am talking about when I call the dealership? Thanks for your help.
