noticed the fuel pump kicks on 10-15 seconds after I turn the key to the on position, shouldn't it pump right away. I had a problem with the ground cable and fixed that but I wonder if I fried something in the mean time, also ever since I got it ( 2 years ago ) the fuel pump is very loud. I feel like the pressure is bleeding off when its not running

 

If the fuel pump is very loud and bleeding back into the tank, you should replace it before it goes completely out and you get stuck somewhere. Don't get a cheap pump, they are not worth it with the labor involved in replacing them. Only get Delco or Delphi.
