Default 2007 Suburban Driver's Heated Seat Not Working

Figured I'd throw this out here before I start troubleshooting the problem.

I have a 2007 Suburban LTZ. The driver side heated seat function will not work from the buttons. The lights do not illuminate in any way when a button is pushed. However, when you remote start it when it's cold out, The lights on the door illuminate and the seat heater works. As soon as you turn the key to on, the lights go off and the seat heater turns off.

I'm leaning toward an issue with door module where the buttons are. .

Any thoughts?

So I scaned all the modules in the suburban and there are no related error codes. I'm going to pull out the door module, take it apart and see if there are any broken solder joints or if maybe the contacts need cleaning.

I played around with the buttons a little bit and was able to get it to turn on after numerous presses so it looks like the problem is the button contacts. I'm not sure if I need to take the door panel off to remove the module but I'll certainly post back here once I have some time to work on it.
