2007 Suburban:Glass opens when opening/closing talegate in both power and manual mode
2007 Suburban LT 4WD
When opening the lift gate the glass will open probably 95% of the time. I can still pop the glass open with the button on the tailgate and the key fob without issue. When using the power option to open the tailgate, it will not close as long as the glass is popped open. Has anyone else had issue with this?
No replies so I am going to try to explain better (or maybe I'm the only one).
When opening/closing the tailgate (either manually or with the power option) the latch for the tailgate glass will release at about the half way point of being opened/closed. I don't know why this happens and I have not found anything online about it. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks.

My guess is damaged wiring. Check the wiring/conduit where it exits the tailgate and goes into the body. If you have exposed/damaged wires, as the tailgate opens or closed the wires make contact as if the button was pressed.
