Default 2007 Suburban High Beams won't turn off

About once every 2 weeks my high beams won't turn off when i turn off the headlights and the car. The only way to turn them off is to turn them on and off a bunch of times them they eventually turn off. Recently sometimes they also won't turn on. Only if I turn them on and off a few times do they finally come on. Sometimes if I turn them on they don't turn on right away but eventually turn on.

Welcome to the forum.

The "stalk switch" is the turn signal lever. Pushing it forward turns the hi-beams on, pulling it back is for "flash to pass", a momentary all beams on. Make sure it's not in the forward hi beam position.

The high beam relay might be sticking, check the under hood fuse block for the relay and swap with another or replace it, its an easy access place to start....

Ummm... well the manual says the hi beam headlamps relay is on a non-serviceable PCB....

Important: Relays listed below are non-serviceable Printed Circuit Board (PCB) relays and are internal to the block.

I'll bet if you can find the PCB and then find a suitable replacement relay, you can fix it.

I believe it is on the bottom of the fuse block assembly, I'll investigate more this evening if I can and post more pics and info...

Did you figure this out? I have had the same problem for a year and after multiple trips to the dealer, just gave up and pulled the fuse.
