Default 2007 suburban Looking 4more HP/TRQ

Hi yall
we bought a 07 suburban 1500 with 5.3 v8 4l60 trans ladt year. It has 160k on it. It was a 2 owner truck and last 10 years it was kept a towing rig for a RV. We love the space and how comfy it is. However it is low on hp and trq.
this is not our daily we only use when we go in family trips.
what would you guys recommend doing a supercharger , turbo, or engine swap and building it NA?
On this 5.3 I have S&B air intake , efi live tune and hooked headers not installed yet.
thank you

At those miles I would not spend money on it trying to pump it up. It's halfway through its life and has been worked hard already. I'd save that money towards a newer one with a 6.2 in it.

Thanks for reply. So u recommend dropping a 6.2l. ? Or buying a newer Burban? This one we own is actually really really clean. That's another reason we bought it. We live seattle wa, and looked at 15 other tahoes and suburban. All rest were modified or had messed up interiors or 4wd issues.

Engine swaps with not the same engine and the issues of making it emissions compliant to pass inspection in west coast states is not worth it.
Best to buy what you need in stock condition, so you minimize aggravation down the road. 99% of the swap jobs are hack jobs and now they are unloading a turd.
Buying a used one, stay away from car lots, go with Chevy dealers only. You want a real warranty and someone who has a real shop not some fly by night place. We're talking a lot of money not just a few thousand bucks here.
In the automotive world 90% of sellers suck, patience and research are the only way to find the good 10%. If the deal is too good to be true, it is a ripoff.

One thing you will find when you boost the horsepower on an engine with this kind of mileage is that you will discover the weakest link in the drivetrain. And will probably be the transmission or engine.

as of last year in WA state there is no Emission testing no more. so im not worried about emission testing or any inspections. if im doing a swap ill be dropping in a 4l80 or something as well. or rebuilding my 4l60 depending on cost.

Restricted exhaust could cause the same feeling. Most people trying to hot rod em end up doing more harm than good.
