I had the same problem on the same vehicle. It turns out that the main ground wire that runs from the chassis through the tube to the door had broken in half inside the insulation. It was right in the bend of the tube and I had to install another wire in its place . The driver door controls are linked to everything in the system and if it’s not the ground then the controller is probably out . If you have to get another one , it has to be flashed at the dealer. I checked the ground wire by locating each end and ohming it out .

Inspect for problems after reading this: https://www.fixmyoldride.com/Chevrol...pos=3&at_tot=4

This is especially important with rigs in the rust belt areas.

Since this all started back in March, I wonder if has been fixed. If has, the least the OP could have done was to post here with the repair. This is exactly why I cringe when the first post a new member does is a problem with no introduction. Then they don't post a repair to close out the thread. Basically, lazy and all about themselves.

I'm on a couple of forums. Drive by posters are todays norm. . Join dates and posts sometimes make my Leary of wasting my time to help the unappreciative.
IMO lack of respect for acquired knowledge and experience in todays ''I am owed'' and instant gratification world not to mention this is how we learned by sharing our hair pulling problems.

Again, IMO, the forum should be set up so that a repair question cannot be asked until the introduction is done and I would recommend all new members put their vehicle info in their signatures so we don't have to guess or pull teeth and have to waste a post getting that info.

I am getting to the point where when a new member rolls around and their very first post is a repair or problem question, I just welcome them to the forum and move on. I doubt the point will be understood by them at that point.
