Default 2007 Suburban Remote problem

I have a 2007 Suburban. The keyless remotes, both, work with the remote system for about 20 seconds after I leave the vehicle. Then nothing. Any ideas? Is there a memory type of battery in the receiver? kathnrich@yahoo.com

Ok, help me understand this better, they work & then they dont after 20 seconds after you leave the car? My gut tells me your battery's in them are low. There is a battery in the key remote, have you ever changed them? its a commom battery at any store pretty much. Ifs it like mine , there is no screw on the remote, I just pop it open with a small flathead screwdriver, or a butter knife works, the battery is about the size & look of a nickel or quarter.

I believe the owner's manual contains battery replacement instructions for the remote.

Thanks for the help Mike. I replaced the batteries in the remotes to no avail. Looks like it is off to the dealer we go. I'm most convinced now it is at the reciver end of things here. Works for about 20 seconds then nothing. Odd thing is, if I keep playing with the remotes it will continue to work so as longa s I am pressing the buttons on the remote! Odd.

Well I guess my gut was wrong, Maybe someone else here knows the reciever end better than me. Its still under warranty right? if so let the dealer deal with it for free.
