2007 Suburbn 1500 LT Missing 2nd Gear
Have just started having a transmission issue on my 2007 Burb. When starting off in 1st gear, it will wind up high RPM sometimes over 3K, and then finally up shift to what I believe is 3rd gear since I hear no further shifts and top end is smooth. I manually shifted it through 1-2-3; from
1-2 - no change, then will shift from 2-3.
I tried all kinds of combinations of stability settings, 2WD, 4WD, Auto, Trailer-mode with no change in symptoms.
There's no check engine light on or any other dashboard alert to speak of. Fluid is at proper level and clean and Trans Temp appears to be OK never going over 150. Has anyone experienced anything similar? and what are my chances that's its not the worst case?
Bad news is its out of warrantly at 121K miles.
Thanks for the feedback!

The transmissions 2-4 band may be distressed. This is just a suggestion, not a diagnosis. I encourage you to take the vehicle in for an inspection. A certified technician should be able to offer additional information after a physical inspection.
Please keep us posted.
