Default 2007 Tahoe

How do I program the Ignition Key for a 2007 Tahoe? Lost my key golfing, and the spare will unlock doors and turn on the ignition, just not start it.

I was unable to find any information in resources on the steps to take for you to do it but you can have the key programed to the vehicle by your local dealership. The only thing that you can program yourself as far as keys go would be the key fob. That process is outlined in your owners manual in the second section under keys. It should be on page 115. I hope this helps you.

Default GooGle?

From ZX/Dave: "With a previously learned master key, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. Turn OFF the ignition and remove the key. Within 10 seconds insert the key to be learned. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF. The vehicle has now learned the new key."

Let me know if that works...

ChevytotheLevee: Welcome to the forum.

By spare key, are you talking about one that came w/ the truck or a spare that someone had made?

Sure would be nice if XZ/Dave would come back, his input was INVALUABLE, Dave was an incredible source of information and knowledge....
