2007 Tahoe alarm chirps for no known reason

The alarm on my 2007 Chevy Tahoe begins chirping unexpectedly. Sometimes it starts chirping in the middle of the night (5-6 chirps) and goes off by itself.

Any idea what could be wrong ?

bad hood pin, bad door pin, shorted wiring, bad key fob, etc
It could be anything.....do you get any warnings on the dash that a door is ajar while your driving?

Check the hood pin - I think there may have even been a TSB on that. I had to have mine replaced (under warranty) on an 08 Avalanche. Alarm kept going off at strange times - neighbors loved it.
