Default 2007 tahoe engine swap

I have not seen any discussion regarding engine swapping in a 2007 Tahoe. Does anyone know if a 2007 6.0 will bolt up into the 2007 Tahoe? If anyone has done this it would be great to know if there were issues attaching the tranny and/or with the computer. Looking at taking the 6.0 out of my express van that has 250000k on it and rebuilding it for my Tahoe.

Engine is good and strong but the 6.0 seems to have much more torque and I tow a boat in the mountains.

you could probably swap out for 4.10 gears
300+ HP and TQ should be plenty to tow a reasonable boat around just about anywhere

you can also search for blackbear tune - many people have got this and reported good results in power and shift improvment. the 5.3 has plenty of power, but is really held back by the factory tune and shift points.
the Tahoe will never be a race car no matter if you put the 6.2 engine in, just too dang big and heavy. but you can improve pretty easy using the 5.3 engine

well yes you are correct - I stand corrected. that is almost scary actually!
never thought it would come a time that soccer mom in her Escalade and boring mom with her V6 Camry would be able to race at a stoplight and beat many "sports" cars of the 90s...

Why stop w/ the GTO engine, drop in a ZR1 engine.
