Default 2007 Tahoe Lt Front End Problems

I have a 2007 Tahoe with 9000 miles. I recently noticed a grinding sound and vibration in the front end when driving. Took to dealer and they found pieces of metal in the transfer case and front differential. Anyone else have the same expirence? We only drive this car on weekends and rarely off road or in 4wd or auto 4wd . We have babied this car an are really concerned. I have heard Chevy is using the same tranny, transfer case and other parts off 06's instead of the "redesigned" parts they claim. Any info would help.

Where exactly did GM claim that the the front differential and transfer case were "redesigned" on the 07 Tahoe?
And what was wrong with the units on the 2006 models?

Are you driving your Tahoe around on dry pavement in Auto 4WD?

Is GM not going to cover this under your 5 year, 100,000 miles Powertrain Warranty?
