My service writer told me that GM expanded the service bulletin but I didn't find it at NHTSA.

Mine is a 2008 and were replaced out of warranty and my service writer said they had expanded the year coverage but I can't prove it.

What's the final verdict on GM doing anything about the cracked dashboards on 2007 Suburban/Tahoes? Mine started with a couple small cracks. Now it seems to be cracking in numerous places and keep getting bigger. Never used armour all or any of that. Now I have to do something about it, its awful. thanks.
they are just sending you to the mercy of whichever dealer you go to. Depending on what kind of mood your dealers service manager is in, you might get it replaced (with another dash of questionable integrity) for anywhere from $200-$900. One of the GM trolls on here will likely follow up with you to start the run around process but you can just circumvent them and go to any dealer and start begging ... great service after buying $50k truck, huh ? All you can really do is NOT buy anything GM again until they get the picture.
I was thinking the same thing. Its HUGE. Some day when GM is 1/100th their current size and a new crop of intelligent individuals is in charge, they will probably look back on the way they handled this and use it as training for what not to do. Just like how the FAA uses Eastern Airlines flight 401 when training flight crews as a classic example of what not to do.

GM= Garbage Management
We don't need you (chevy customer service) to contact our dealers. I know I am capable of going to the dealer and so can everybody else here. What we need is for you to get GM to fix the problem at no cost to us. Its a defective part and GM needs to suck it up and fix it. For the money paid for these vehicles and for the amount of profit GM makes on each one fixing this problem is pennies
