I am not a person to lay down so easy and will make many more calls to get to the bottom of this. They KNOW there is an issue here but are saying that they do not have any documented proof. They do not abide by what the forums say or what is on the interenet. This is what they told me. Can anybody give me some guideance here?
File a complaint online with the National Highway Safety Transportation Administration https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/ if enough people file then they will fix it

Default Dash crack

I just sent my complaint in. I have tried and tried to get some help and can’t get any. This is the first nice vehicle I’ve owned and it’s really frustrating that these things are happening and the Chevy does not own up to it. I understand it would cost greatly for them to fix all the dash, but it cost me greatly to make the car payment monthly. I’m sure I’m not the only one that works really hard for there things and wants them to be as nice as possible. When my vehicle was bought new it was right around 65K, and the dash cracking door handles cracking is unacceptable. I don’t even want to get started on the burning oil issue that Chevy claims is “normal” another issue they want to not fix. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

They will fix your door handle if you have under 100k

Suggest that folks w/ recent failures read the last several pages of posts and see how those who have successfully got either free repairs or significantly reduced cost to repair did it.

FWIW, it seems that those that go in to the dealer w/ all guns firing have been less than successful.

I believe that if the dealer has never heard of or seen the problem before you get no help. I could tell in talking to the people at the dealer I went to had never seen the problem. Also I found out afterward that my cousin is a service writer at a Chevy dealer. He said they had not seen any yet either. What he did tell me though was he had talked to his boss who told him that they could get it covered much easier than I could and would. He said as long as it had not gotten to a district specialist first then it was out of their hands. Sucks for me again.

If you have a good repoor with a dealer go there first. Talk to the service manager explain what is going on. You will have the best luck

Thank you all for the input. I am going to get to the bottom of this issue. I have a Chevy dealer in Delray Beach FL working on it now. I should know what they say in about a week, which I will pass on. I will not stop there though if that does not take care of it. Something needs to be done for everyone who has this issue. Chevy and all the rest of them need to stand behind thier products and make things right. If they want us to "buy American" which I totally agree with, they better do thier part!

Welcome to the forum...
Are you the original owner? if so you might follow up with Louis of Chevrolet Customer Service to see if it can be replaced at no,minimal or full cost to you

Also I would follow up with reporting it as MDTAHOE has suggested no matter the repair course you choose...
