For anyone who wants a nice LTZ, has plenty of cash, and wants to street race Corvettes...

I love that video. $95,000 is a little steap for my blood though. I bet that thing will depreciate $60,000 as soon as you drive it off the lot.

OK, the truck may be real and that's one fast truck, but in all honesty, I can't see it beating ANY Corvette (C5Z or C6Z)....heck...even a reagular C5 or C6. That 505hp rated motor is probably putting barely 420 down to the wheels .....I'll be gracious and say 440, but with the etra weight, it'll nowhere near come close to beating even an LS6 or LS2 powered 'Vette.

BTW, in the video, that's either one HORRIBLE driver in that 'Vette or that 'Vette is BADLY in need of a tune-up.

Think about folks....
Vette - 3100 to 3300 lbs
07 Tahoe LTZ with an LS7 is gotta be pushing 5,000 lbs if not more. Maybe 5500.

I agree that it really probably wouldn't do so well against 'vettes, but then again, Corvettes aren't nearly as practical...

You've got to agree, though, it would be a blast to drive.

Wonder how long it will take to find the weak link in the drive train. I'm betting U-joints then transfer case.

Let's not forget what kind of work- time and other parts- must have gone into this job. Dry Sump system.. exhaust, headers, lines, tuning, transmission upgrades, not to mention the ideal itself never crossed anyones mind. Its a pretty gutsy move.. and who cares how good or bad the vette guy drove on the 1/4- the guy in the Tahoe still beat him... what a fun time that must have been. I can't lie, I do know the guy that did it. He is crazy, but I have to say brilliant. he'll get the asking price or he won't.. I just enjoy watching the show

You dont know what that truck can do untill you see it. I saw him friday night at the drag races and it was running straight up. Fast as blah i cant say you just have to see it in person.

I was at the AMSpeedway Friday night too, and boy does that thing shock people- including me. The crowd was so funny. I'll be up there Sept. 8 at the next event as well, how about you trick 24?

I think the Tahoe will be at the event again too, if it hasn't sold or something...
