Hey everyone, just have a question for you all. Anyone else out there with anLT2 and the Nav system notice that their sticker has the $495 charge for the bose speakers even though the website and brochure clearly states that the bose is included with the Navigation System?

Just trying to see if I am the only one that was charged extra or if they made a habit of adding the extra $495 when they should not have. Please reply to me.

Thanks,
G.
You did not get double charged. The LT2 does not come standard with the Bose Package (UQA). The NAV option requires package UQA (which is the bose system) and thus the charge for the Bose. The Brochure may state the NAV has the Bose System because it cannot be ordered without it. You get a A for effort. Seriously, you got a nice vehicle with an option that normally comes on a more expensive trim level-enjoy it.
Not to be picky but if you read the documentation and the sticker it is clearly a double charge, or at least on mine it is. The website and brochure clearly state that the bose speakers are included with the navigation system. It does not say you must order the bose when you order NAV it actually says included. So the $2250 charge for the NAV includes the bose. If there is then a separate $495 charge for the bose they are charging an additional amount for what is included with the $2250.

I guess the difference in what you are saying and what I am saying is that... you think the bose is required for the NAV but the brochure and website both say it is included. Required and Included have very different meanings.

My question still stands, I am curious how many other people bought the NAV and have an additional $495 charge for the bose system. Whether you think you were over charged or not, I'm just curious.

If the LT2 does not come standard with Bose and the Nav Option requires Bose, why would you think you should get it for free?

Especially since the LT2 base price does not reflect the Bose System, the LT3 and LTZ does reflect the cost of the Bose System, while NAV option is $2250 for all trim levels. If you do the math, you did not get ripped.

I never said I wanted anything for free, I want what is included in the price. I've read the website and the brochure very carefully, they both way the NAV includes the Bose. No where does it say requires the bose. Included and requires are very different things.

Anyways, again, I just really would like to know who here bought an LT2 with the Nav and has a separate charge for the included (not required) bose speakers.

Why dont you contact GM and your dealership and talk to them about the issue?

gfraigun,
I am really trying to help you understand so you dont feel screwed. I find its best to look at the bottom line dollarwise when it comes to stuff like this.

I agree with biglg, go to chevrolet.com or gmbuypower.com and build your vehicle. When you select the Nav option for LT2 it automatically selects the $495 Bose option.

Since $2250 is the price of the Nav for LT2(Base price does NOT include Bose) , LT3(base includes Bose), and LTZ(base price includes Bose), you were not double charged. Whether or not anybody else has the same sticker (which I am sure they do if they have a LT2 with NAV) does not change the fact the LT2 base price does not include Bose.

Your book example- Yes, I would expect to pay more for pages if the pages were of higher quality than what comes standard.

Maybe GM should reprint your sticker to say $2745 for the NAV option for LT2's. Money wise its the same as $2250 plus $495, but maybe it would make you feel better.

No of this actually addresses my question. I understand exactly what you are saying. However, you are just not correct. You are right the base price does not include the bose, the NAV by their own documentation is supposed to include the bose. If they indicated required Bose it would be completely different.

When all is said and done, all I want to know is if there is anyone else with an LT2 and a NAV system who will actually just say, "yes my sticker shows a separate line for bose..." I really don't need to depate the difference between the definitions of included and required, I know them very well, just need to know if anyone will confirm for me that there sticker said the same as mine.
