Default 2007 tahoe with oxy sen problem

hi guys.. this is Abdullah from Saudi Arabia.. i have a 07 tahoe LT 4x4.. one rainy day i was driving on a small street when i splashed in a small puddle.. the engine light poped up infront of me.. i stoped the tahoe and took a look under to find the wires above the sensor connector connecting the left side oxy sensors riped up by the drive-shaft !! i dont know how that happend.. i fixed the wires and held them away from any moving parts.. but the engine light was still on.. i used my friend's CAN module and it gave me O2HS heated circ. BANK1, BANK2..
i went to my local GM parts dealer and purchased 4 oxy sensors (all of them) and changed them.. but the light is still on.. i cleared the DTC then the light went out.. but as soon as i restart the engine the light comes back up.. the module gave me the same codes.. O2HS heated circ. BANK1, BANK2..

what would be the problem??? my friend says that the sensors may need to be activated using a tech 2 system.. is he right??

PS.. i use 95 octane gas..

The computer for the truck might be damaged from the wires shorting to the signal lines, they may have shorted when they ripped apart, thats all I can think of.

The heater circuit is usually protected by a fuse. Also did you make sure that the correct sensor was put in the correct postion.

Default Fixed.. :d

thanx MDTAHOE..
i checked the sensor positions and they are correct..
i found the problem.. it was the O2-B [8] fuse.. i replaced it and reset the DTC.. now everything is fine..

Saved by the fuse, good to hear.

Are you in Saudi Arabia? or is that just your home country?

This was timely as I just listened to MDTAHOE's boss (Goss's Garage on Motor Week) describe how a DTC doesn't necessarily tell you what component failed and you need to go thru the diagnostic tree in the service manual to avoid replacing good parts.

Well if a power lead were to come in contact with a signal line there is no fuse to protect the ECM data lines. Looks like your power/heater line just grounded out and blew the fuse.
