2007 Tahoe power steering fluid flush possible issue

What was the fluid level after you drove it and the fluid was hot? Because if it was slightly over the hotline after you removed the quantity of fluid, then it would still be over filled. I check it again when it's cold just to get an accurate reading to see if you still have some to remove. Just something to check before you wrap this project up.

Forgive me Henry, I wasn't trying to say that you were questioning my facts, lol. I was just trying to simply understand what you meant. 
If the system was over filled, would that cause the fluid to push past the seal? I'm no technician, but I'm assuming there is pressure in the reservoir from the fluid circulating, and when its over filled its just too much for the seal to hold back the fluid.

hydraulic systems, I also looked up the green power steering fluid. Seems it's used in many European vehicles and it is synthetic-based. I learn something new everyday!
