Default 2007 Tahoe Rear Defroster

I know there are some forums out there about the tabs for the rear defroster breaking off. I was having a hard time finding anything recent.

One of my rear defroster tabs recently fell off. I was quoted $95 to fix the tab with an epoxy by a glass shop, but they even told me that this solution does not always work great or $440 to replace the glass.

I read some reviews about Permatex and they seemed that the product was very lackluster. Some of the reviews were very bad.

Does anyone recently have any products they have recently used that have worked well for more than a couple days?

Besides replacement, your other two options are using conductive epoxy or resoldering the tab back onto the glass.

The Permatex stuff works, but you have to follow the directions EXACTLY, and you have to do a lot of initial surface prep. Plus, if there's not much of the conductive grid material left on the glass where you're attaching the tab, you're SOL.
