2007 Tahoe Starting Problems
For the past month, I've had to jump my 2007 Tahoe about 8 times to get it to start. When trying to get it started, lights usually come on, acts like it will be fine, but then won't turn over. As soon as jumper cables are connected, it will immediately start. Battery has been tested, shows Good Battery. Sound like a starter issue?? Or maybe something electrical that is draining battery just enough to not start?? Any suggestions/comments, etc.. is appreciated.
I'm sure I'll be told to contact my local GM dealer, but at this point, I'd much rather get rid of the Tahoe altogether than deal with them. We've already paid them way to much money with all the issues we've encountered since purchasing this vehicle.

Hey hmmendes,
We understand you're not looking to go back into the dealership at this time and we're sorry if this is because of past experiences working with them. Have you by chance had your windshield replaced recently? If you'd like, we can reach out to your dealership on your behalf to come up with the best course of action at this stage. If that's something that interests you, please PM us your VIN, mileage, full contact information and dealership name.

Have the charging system checked. Places like Auto Zone do it for free.
Odds are, if the charging system is bad, the battery's been abused, too, so it should be replaced, even though it tests good. I chased this same problem on one of my vehicles, and after two years, I finally put it to bed by replacing the alternator and battery at the same time.

No windshield replaced. The latest repair we just had local dealer fix was the AC, two weeks ago. Charged us $300 for a $7.43 part (original price was going to be $400 but my husband complained that we brought the Tahoe in 2 years ago for the same problem and paid them $130 to fix it that time.. so they knocked off $100). We didn't even mention the starting issue. In any case (sorry, had to vent a little)... I'll take the advice about checking the charging system and go from there. Thanks for the advice, intheburbs.
Also, thanks for responding Amber M, but when we do get this fixed, it will not be at our local dealer. Just wanted to post to this site, in case someone else had same problem/suggestions.
Thanks!
