2007 and up question
not there but it is something I thought was pretty standard in newer vehicles along with a cabin air filter...my other gripe is the glove box is so dang small! There are so many things good about this vehicle that if GM didn't try to save a few $ here and there it could be so much better.
you mean like if the dash wasn't paper thin plastic? and the 20" wheels didn't yellow in under 12 months?
then, my friend, you,(like me) should have bought 'not a GM'.
lol.
My wife's $13,000 tribute has a cabin air filter. the dash is not paper thin. the vehicle with 100,000 on it has less rattles / squeaks than mine at 31,000! for 1/5th the price!

Haven't seen a glove box lite in years. One reason they're small is cuz of the airbag.
My '07 clear coated wheels didn't yellow in 2.5 years but I've seen a lot of other brands, including imports w/ yellowing clear coated polished aluminum wheels. Wife's '04 still clear but the PO had balance weights on the outside which ruined the clear coat underneath them.

my '99 Acura TL has a very large cabin air filter about 15x11 inches mounted vertically and a glove box that is at least 50% larger than the Tahoe with a light all with an airbag above it...I think the area behind and under the Tahoe dash would have enough room for both but oh well. Like I said overall I am very happy with the Tahoe but some of the cost savings for GM are pretty obvious.
That is probably evident with most newer cars, another reason I am going to milk my Acura for as long as possible. It is very solid and quiet with nearly all the features a new car has
