Hi, I have a question regarding the location of the Bose amplifier in my 2008 Tahoe LTZ. I am having some warranty work done and wanted to find out if the Bose amplifier is built in to my LTZ equipped with the navigation system. My service advisor is getting conflicting information inside the dealership whether the head unit contains the Bose amplifier. One of his technicians is saying the external amplifier in the rear of the car is actually for the XM ratio and not for the Bose system. Can anyone confirm where the Bose amp is located? Right now they are ordering me a new head unit due to this information but I always thought the Bose amp was separate (it was in another car with the system)..

If you don't get any responses, try a pm to Hardin Thicke (may not be spelled right) as he is a Bose engr.

 

I thought the amps were under the front console area with the subwoofer...? I have not seen amps behind the head units with a stock system. they are usually always seperate

 

I second the console location at least that is where they put it for the 07 and I suspect they would have little reason to move it.
A search of the forum for Bose amp location should yield some helpful links...
