Default 2009 Suburban 2500HD back up camera (Cubby Cam) install

Hi Everyone,

Just finished putting in a Cubby Cam factory back up camera it in my '09 Suburban 3/4 ton model. I had it mated with a factory nav unit.

Here is my question: The Cubby Cam instructions say to grab ignition +12v from the pink wire in the BCM x12 (brown connector) and the reverse light feed from the blue wire in the BCM X11 connector..but here is the problem:

What if I do not have a pink wire in my BCM brown connector? This should be in cavity 7 of the (X12) connector but that cavity is empty! Worse yet, the BCM pin from that empty slot has no power as I checked it with my volt meter.

I also do not have the back up light wire in my X11 connector which is the dark blue one in cavity 5...same issues as there is no pin in there anyway and no power from the BCM in that slot as well...

I have installed everything else from my Cubby Cam kit for the OEM back up camera on my nav unit and even programmed it with the Tech 2, but until I can find an ignition and back up source, all I am getting is a black screen with the safety message on top.

Thank you in advance for your feedback on this journey!
