Default 2009 tahoe reduce engine power message

just purchased 2009 Chevy Tahoe. It says e85 gas but i couldn't find any where i live and was told its ok to use 89 gas. One month and now it started to clunk, spit and complete want start (turn over). Everything completely works but it just want turn over (no fuel to turn over it seems). I had no problem until my husband dove it home spurting, clunking and now it want start. It says reduce engine power.

Welcome to the forum,
So help me understand , have you used E85 previously or just regular gasoline? If you have used E85 and then filled up with regular gas the system could be confused about the alcohol content and this could cause some drive-ability issues and I would think possible starting issues. You will need to verify that you are getting spark to the plug, and that fuel is available, pulling a plug out after the vehicle has been cranked a few times and see if the plug is wet with fuel, if so the fuel pressure should also be checked, if too low the vheicle won't start or run well.
