2010 NavDisc
it is not really $200 per year - just sell the 2010 on Ebay or something like that. I do this with our Acura, pay $190 (only!) for the newest disk and sell last years on Ebay for usually $100 - $140, so really not a bad upgrade once you do buy the 1st disk.
Thanks Shark, but I know that Tele Atlas (the outfit that GM gets the data from) has the updated road info. I sent the notice to them via their web site and a quick check of their web site shows they have the new road systems.
My complaint now is why is GM touting (and only now making available) a new 2010 NavDisc upgrade that clearly is using data from before April 2009. And why do they not offer potential upgrade buyers the opportunity to verify if the upgrade they wish to sell has any upgrades for the area in which I reside.
If I spend 99.9% of my time driving around the pacific northwest I really don't want to spend $200 buying a disc that only offers a few new road systems in the DC area.

I got my 2010 disk today via ebay. I was running 2.0 (bought truck last Sat). GMNAVDISK said no problem going directly to 5.0c. It did a firmware upgrade (5+ minutes preparing to load) and shifted the search area fro FL to WA.
Clock appears bigger. Added my home address and assigned a voice tag to it.

I'm just glad I still have my Garmin 2720 and its FM Nav Traffic. This NAV is even dumber than the one in my 03 Deville. It tried to route me home 3 different wrong ways (including a u-turn), avoiding sections of road that were long established (over 10 years). It knew they were there - it just chose to route me all over the place.
