Default 2010 NavDisc

Greetings forum users. Has anyone heard any news about the 2010 NavDisc update for the Tahoe LTZ? I have a 2007 LTZ that came with 2 free updates. I obtained my first update with the 2009 NavDisc (p/n 20857425) in August 2008.

It has been over a year now and I have made inquiries about the 2010 update disc. I have been advised that they are expecting it soon but no firm date.

Problem I have is that the GM NavDisc centre also advised me that while I had two free updates, the implication was for two years from the model date (2007), meaning that while I have only obtained one update, if the new disc does not come out before the end of this year I am SOL on getting it for free.

Naturally I feel this is somewhat unfair as it is not my fault that GM has only had one update since I purchased my vehicle.

Any information out there on ETA or p/n?

Default version

I have version 5.0 in mine, what version do you have?

I had 4.1c that came w/the truck then got the 5.0 off ebay (2 disks) one east coast + one west coast.
(how much would it suck to live near the boarder of the cut off)

The improvements were slight but noticable, new colors, less annoying voice commands.

4.1c = "20857425"
5.0 = "25976806U" (?)
5.0c = "20861673"

From what I can tell in the umm, copying community, 5.0 is from around 03/2009.

@SabrToothSqrl
Thanks for the info. GM NavDisc states this disc is not available yet and the online checking states there are no updates for me despite only having v.4.1C.

I wonder if they want to hold out until the new year so they can charge me for it.???

Maybe now with the correct p/n I can push a bit and get it on back-order.

Might be that the 5.0 doesn't work w/ the 2007 system.

@73shark
Good thought, so I just tried 07, 08 & 09 on the GMNavDisc website [http://www.gmnavdisc.com/buy-a-disc.asp?lang=en] and it still only shows the 4.1C as the latest and out of stock. There is no apparent listing on this site for the updated 5.0c disc. If I try looking it up via the p/n 20861673 it states no disc available at this time. Yet this 2010 v5.0c disc with the part number 20861673 is listed as now available and for sale on e-bay and states it is for 2007-2010 Tahoe's.

Hmmm, I am left scratching my head with only another 8 days left to apparently get it for free.... Come on GM!

Talked to the GM NavDisc centre yesterday. Basically they are aware of the new disc and the new part number but they are a third party (outsourced) fulfillment centre and GM has not bothered to supply them with the new 5.0c (p/n 20861673) yet and until GM supplies them with the inventory they cannot even take orders b/o's for it.

Two more days and I am on the hook to pay for an upgrade I was supposed to get for free.

@73Shark
Thanks. Not yet. Did not have a number so I will try now.

I did send off an email to GM via their website and to their credit someone did try to call me back. I missed the call but the voicemail message basically stated GM simply manufactures the vehicle and all NavDisc issues are to be addressed to NavDisc.
Confusing to say the least.

SabrTooth, what part number of 5.0 are you using in yours? It looks like 25976806U 2-CD set is for the GMT800 trucks?
