2010 Stablizer light and Traction Control, engine bogging??
Im in the middle of I90 and my TC/Stablizer light keeps coming on. Engine starts to miss, power cuts down or limits me and rough idle. Just came back from a 1000 mile trip, sat for 2 days, repacked my truck and headed off on another 1000 mile trip.. Was running fine, no changes other than a car wash. Im going to try and hold the TC button down for 5 seconds to shut of the system and see if it works, but any reason why it would be doing this? No dealers open anywhere of course.
Welcome to the forum...
Are you getting any codes set after it happens?
I would suspect a possible throttle position sensor or maybe something with the ABS system....
A good place to start is with reading any codes that may be set and also checking all battery electrical connections...

Sure enough, throttle body needed replacement. It was a recall that was never replaced on the vehicle and failed at the worst time. Basically threw it into limp mode or something with the sensors that throw the entire computer off whack. Funny as it sounds, called OnStar, pointed us to the closest dealer to at least leave it there until tomorrow... but lucky us, someone was there and helped us. They replaced the part and we were on our way... (SOO LUCKY!) Hopefully this helps someone.
